Halfmoon Race Series and the Golden Nugget

The last Shem Creek race on Tuesday ended with a blowout. The conditions at the race were described by one racer as "hands down as challenging an hour of paddling I've endured in 3 plus years.  Chop/surf, wind, sprints..." it was awesome. Congratulations to Jeremy Whitted for finishing first (on a 12'6"). He killed it!

Everyone, mark your calendars for October 16 at 4pm for the Nugget. Last year the prizes and party were awesome and this year promises to be even bigger. This is a partner event with Mount Pleasant Land Conservancy. There will be a band, food, drinks, auction and tons of fun and most importantly will benefit the places that we love to paddle. More details to come.
