Joe Hiller Surf Classic Needs Some SUP Women

I watched this surf contest from the beach last year and enjoyed every minute.  It was a beautiful weekend, but I noticed that there were no women in the SUP division (and just a few men).  I'm still learning, but determined that there will be at least one girl paddler this year and hopefully a few more guys.  Please come out and compete and help celebrate my birthday on Sunday!   There will be a fun party to follow the contest on Saturday at the Windjammer at 6:30.

Put this on your calendars--it's a fun event for everyone. Your race entry fee includes a ticket to the Mt. Pleasant Land Conservancy Paddle-n-Party where there will be a band, food, beer, and fantastic raffle items (including a Stand Up Paddleboard). The short course is great for those new to racing and the swag bag alone is worth the entry fee for this race. Come out and support a great cause!

 

Last "Summer" Race Tomorrow!

Come out to the last Charleston Watersport Summer Race on Saturday at Station 30 on Sullivan's. The race starts at 8:00 and I am sure there will be some surfing afterward for anyone who still has energy.

Summer may be coming to an end, but we have lots of fun fall events right around the corner. Half-moon Outfitter's Golden Nugget Race on October 16 is going to be awesome--fun party and great prizes!
